Fan Fiction Part 2

So I know this will be my third post today, but Uve become addicted to writing this story, and I have to continue it. So I hope you enjoy.
Part 2

The table of men stared at her as though she was a mutant hedgehog.
"Val...are you sure?" Shudder carefully trod over the words.
"Yeah, you don't have to do it you know, it was a stupid idea anyway." Ghastly Bespoke chipped in from across the long, official looking, wood table.
"It was your idea in the first place, and anyway, it's our only plan at the minute, and it's even a miracle we have a plan in the first place, so we might as well use it." Valkyrie looked exasperated as her eyes darted from each shocked, and slightly puzzled, face to another. All of which except Corrival, who had a grin that stretched from ear to ear
"Now that is how to be a soldier. Get her ready, she leaves in an hour." Protests came from every corner of the room, nobody wanting harm to come to Valkyrie, as, although none if them would admit it, she was like their daughter. "No, no," Corrival's voice could be heard clearly, as everyone shut up when he opened his mouth. "The girl has made her choice, now respect that and make sure she is ready." He nodded towards Valkyrie, as she stood there, not knowing what to do. She had never been in this situation before, with this much attention.
"If your going to do it, you might as well be prepared. Come on," Dexter opened the edge of the tent and waved a hand towards it. Valkyrie walked beneath his muscled arm, heading towards a very uncertain future.
